Dino Trail

Kevadia, Gujarat

Inaugurated by Shri Vijay Rupani, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Oct 2019

Situated at a unique location with the picturesque Satpura and Vidhyanchal ranges, the Statue of Unity has in its vicinity three gigantic dinosaur sculptures of Rajasaurus narmadensis, overlooking the Narmada river. The fossils of Rajasaurus narmadensis, our very own dinosaur who roamed in the Narmada river valley during late Cretaceous period (between 83 to 65 million years ago) was found in 1983, along with other fossils of that era!

To honour the presence of this mighty royal creature who once graced the land of Gujarat, and to know more about it in detail, a trail has been created around the dinosaur sculptures! Mounted atop a hillock, these three times larger than life sculptures (80 ft x 30 ft) will transport you into the Cretaceous era. Get ready to be mesmerized by the sculptures and experience them getting live on your handsets thru our specially developed AR Mobile App! Experience India’s 1st Dino Trail!
